I choose these YouTubers because they are often times making at least the base of many games. By watching their videos I was able to learn about some of the things surrounding production of games in early development which I used a lot of ideas from them in my work.

Ways of Thinking (Creativity, Innovation, Critical Thinking, Problem Solving)

I created this session by using my previous unity knowledge to create gun scripts doing things other than the normal gun script. I used problem solved many errors and was able to create shaders and scripts that I would not be able to otherwise

Ways of Working (Communication & Collaboration)

I collaborated with John on a lot of the work. He helped with a lot of my network problems and with future parts of the game we are working on because he is more proficient with unity and C# while the rest of the team has communicated.

Tools for Working (Info & Media Literacy)

Youtube, Unity, Visual Studio, My Laptop, Chrome

Ways of Living in the World (Life & Career)

I prepared for the World by working on things I want to be when I am older, and I practiced coding which applied to many things.

Reactions to the to Final Version

The advisors, Lin and Nelle, said that they wish to see our game when it is ready since it promising

Self-Evaluation of Final Version

No final version but because of my contributions and the teams we are very close to a full game and it is progressing well with my help with guns and shaders.

POST-PRODUCTION – REFLECTION

21st Century Skills

Ways of Thinking (Creativity, Innovation, Critical Thinking, Problem Solving)

This session of game design I was a Critical thinker in a few ways. Since this was my first project since the summer, I was able to apply what I learned over said summer into our game which also included things like fitting multiple ideas together, maybe with a bit of room to grow in prioritization

Ways of Working (Communication & Collaboration)

I worked with my team every school day. We would have stand up meetings by opening Trello and completely going over what was needed to be done every day. When I was sick I continued to communicate except for the day that I couldn’t get out of bed.

Tools for Working (Info & Media Literacy)

I went through many YouTube videos and Unity tutorial links to use and to add to our project but still having to figure out how to implement the resources because it cant just be copy and pasted a lot of the time.

Ways of Living in the World (Life & Career)

I worked on Life and Career skill by practicing my coding and my communication with my team throughout the session. practicing my game design skills for future sessions and years of coding.

Reactions to the final version

Michelle said that the game looked fun to play and a good amount of creativity went into it. I would say it was accurate being a fun game with a not unique gameplay concept but a unique art style.

I think it was funny and I liked the theme of using the stages of life – Liam
Once again I think is a accurate representation of our game

Self-Evaluation of Final Version

Our game was Simple, Unexpected, Concrete, and emotional. Simple because it used a basic art style and easy-to-use mechanics to make the game feel easy to grasp. Our game was unexpected being using unique and creative characters for our project. Concrete because our game worked and made sense for what the basics were for our game. Emotional because it made others laugh and was just a funny and strange concept for a game
